You'll hike through oak woodlands and a fire scarred landscape to a viewpoint overlooking Walker Valley. This area burned during the Redwood Fire last fall and is preserved by a conservation easement with the Mendocino Land Trust. During the hike they will talk about future fire restoration plans. Additional support provided by Amy Bowen Neel and the Sun House Guild. A sampling of Grace Hudson's wildflower paintings will also be on display. The invitational exhibition, coinciding with the Mendocino Coast Whale Festival, features all-media artwork by local artists. Also on exhibit, “Noyo 4: The Printmakers’ Show,” with works by Kathy Carl, Gail Coulson, Mary T. Anderson and Debbie Beck Lennox; and Patrick “Rick” Keller’s retrospective exhibit, “The 70’s to 70,” featuring his art from the 1970’s to the celebration of his 70th birthday this March. A free Second Saturday Gallery Reception will be held Saturday, March 10, 5pm-8pm. And, Mendocino Art Center’s Artists in Residence will open their studios the same evening, 5pm-9pm. In an exhibition to mark the occasion the gallery is featuring works by former Partners artists as well as present members.
